Search by location, cargo and fleet size

Select multiple states and cargo types in one search. Narrow by city, ZIP prefix, entity type, operating status, operation classification, interstate or intrastate operation, power units and driver count. Active census records are selected by default.

Search keywords such as FARM or TOW across legal and DBA names, operation classification and other-cargo descriptions. Choose whether any keyword or every keyword must match. Results include physical and mailing addresses when provided in the source.

Screen shared phone numbers and emails

Third-party filing services and other intermediaries sometimes appear as a contact on more than one carrier record. When enabled, DOTVOLE compares a candidate’s phone numbers and email against all census records in your selected states, including records outside your other filters. All states means a nationwide comparison.

Every candidate with a shared contact is excluded, including the first occurrence. This can also exclude legitimate related businesses. A shared contact is a clue, not proof of a filing service. Broader checks add time, and you can stop and resume a search.

Exclude existing customers without uploading them to our server

Open a CSV with one customer per row. DOTVOLE suggests columns from common headings and sample values, and lets you review the mapping. Independently select USDOT number, exact company name, telephone or email as matching rules. A names-only file is supported.

Customer files stay in your browser tab. Exact name matching ignores case and spaces at the ends; punctuation and abbreviations still matter. Saved searches contain your filters and preferences, not your customer file.
